Set up HSCN VPN & Token

Steps

 

  1. Download, install and configure VPN Software

  2. Download MobilePass+ token on a smart device (phone or tablet) - link on enrollment email

  3. Enroll your SafeNet MobilePASS+ token - link on enrollment email

  4. Connect to VPN

  5. Access NHS Spine services and/or clinical systems

 

VPN Software

 

To access HSCN via the token you will first require some VPN Software installed on your device.  If you are using a Windows device we would recommend the Cisco VPN Client.  Both the 32 Bit and 64 Bit can be downloaded here:

How to find out if your machine is 32 Bit or 64 Bit

 

Extract the .zip files and run the vpnclient_setup.exe - follow the onscreen instructions.

Once installed you'll then need to import the Configuration File (known as a Cisco PCF File) that will enable your device to connect to the HSCN network.  To do this, download the following PCF File and import into the VPN Client:

Downloading and Enrolling SafeNet MobilePASS+

When a user is assigned a VPN token from Opusflow they will receive an email that will include instructions on how to download MobilePass+ on a smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS) and enroll it.  More information can be found in the guides below.

Connecting to VPN

​

  1. Enter your token username - firstname.lastname@opusflow.co.uk

  2. Enter the 6 digit passcode generated by the MobilePASS+ App

Note - User ID is firstname.lastname
